CONTACT US
I focus on growth-oriented, developmental, humanistic/existential, client-centered, spiritual, mindful, and experiential/somatic engagement approaches to therapy.
I wasn’t always sure I could do this, and there are still moments of doubt. But my deep love for helping others and passion for this work sustain me. Therapy isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about balancing expertise with authenticity and creating a space where healing and growth feel natural and inspiring. I strive to be approachable, genuine, and human, sharing my journey as an equal to foster meaningful connections.
I earned a BA in Business Administration and Human Resources from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA, and worked as a Human Resources Specialist in federal government, focusing on mediation, conflict resolution, and employee relations. In 2008, I obtained an MA in Counseling & Psychology from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, earning my Licensed Professional Counselor (TX) designation in 2011 and later my Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (CA) license (#87678).
I’ve been trained in group psychotherapy, child and family therapy, and couples therapy, with a focus on relational dynamics in personal and professional contexts. Currently, I’m a Doctoral Candidate in Couple and Family Therapy at Alliant International University, contributing to research on Transformative Couples Therapy.
Hobbies & Personal Life
Having lived in over 13 cities worldwide, I value spirituality, creativity, and curiosity in navigating life’s uncertainties. I enjoy hot yoga, trail running, and time with friends and family. A mother of four and married for 20 years, I also play piano, write poetry, and explore spiritual formation. My recent endeavors include research on mental health and political engagement disparities among People of Color.
Military Experience
The military has shaped my life profoundly. For those familiar with this lifestyle, I understand its challenges firsthand. Frequent relocations forced me to find stability within myself, often through spirituality and existential exploration. Experiences with trauma, TBI, PTSD, and depression—both personally and as a clinician—have deepened my empathy and commitment to this community.
Supporting military families through transitions and aftermaths is a passion. My most recent work involves counseling Special Forces members, addressing the unique challenges of accelerated time away from home.
I am passionate about working with individuals looking to increase their self-confidence, develop healthy relationships, discover and pursue their purpose, and reach their fullest potential. With my knowledge of the mind-body connection, I aim to help individuals manage their emotions, foster meaningful relationships, and enhance their career and personal pursuits. I have experience working with individuals dealing with anger management, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, substance abuse, disordered eating, attention difficulties, and low self-esteem.
With my Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science, Master's in Couples and Family Therapy, and yoga certification, I take a biopsychosocial-spiritual approach. As a somatic psychotherapist, I incorporate breathwork, mindfulness practices, and body-centered techniques to unlock blocked energy, allowing for a profound sense of relief and healing.
In my free time, I am passionate about expressing myself and connecting with others through movement, such as dance, yoga, and acrobatics. I also enjoy exploring other countries and learning about new cultures. I am grateful for my ability to fulfill my dreams, and I hope to support you in doing the same!

A human being becomes whole not in virtue of a relation to himself [only] but rather in virtue of an authentic relation to another human being(s).
