Couples Therapy
Investing in couples therapy is more than nurturing your romantic relationship—it's an investment in the future of healthy children, families, and communities.
Even for couples who feel stuck or believe change is impossible, couples therapy has the potential to shift dynamics, repair communication, and reignite connection. This world needs more examples of two people in love, and by prioritizing your relationship, you’re contributing to a brighter, healthier future for yourself, your family, and your community.
At JP Family Therapy, we’re here to guide you on this journey toward deeper connection, growth, and transformation.
Family Therapy
Family Therapy is a collaborative approach that focuses on improving communication, resolving conflicts, and strengthening relationships within families. This form of therapy considers the family as a system where each member’s behaviors and emotions affect the others. Family therapy sessions often involve exploring family dynamics, addressing patterns of interaction, and fostering understanding and support among members. Techniques may include role-playing, communication exercises, and problem-solving strategies. Family therapy is particularly effective for addressing issues such as parenting challenges, blended family adjustments, and healing from family-related trauma. By working together, families can build healthier connections and create a supportive environment for all members.
Military & Their Family
The military has shaped my life profoundly. For those familiar with this lifestyle, I understand its challenges firsthand. Frequent relocations forced me to find stability within myself, often through spirituality and existential exploration. Experiences with trauma, TBI, PTSD, and depression—both personally and as a clinician—have deepened my empathy and commitment to this community.
Supporting military families through transitions and aftermaths is a passion. My most recent work involves counseling Special Forces members, addressing the unique challenges of accelerated time away from home.
If you’re connected to the military in any way, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Let’s navigate this journey together
